The main idea of the collection is the conscious simplification of artistic images and expressive means focused on textured and naive forms, referring us to childhood and inner rebellion.
Our new collection "Sculptural Primitivism" is dedicated to cult works in the style of impressionism. In a series of articles about the new collection, we will gradually talk about the idea of the collection that inspired us to implement it.
Rebelliousness, like individuality, has always attracted the artist like a child protecting what is important to him. According to the author himself, he could not afford to create exceptionally desirable landscapes and still lifes understandable to most viewers.
There is no risk of condemnation and misunderstanding of the public, because any realistic image is already a standard for understanding the viewer. It's like a voluntary cage into which the artist rushes, avoiding his own uniqueness and the fear of being unrecognized. For the rebels, it's all fiction and a desire to fit into the standards, but real life is important, not its pathetic imitation.
The author admits: "the desire for individuality always occupies my thoughts like a child protesting against being ordinary." In these compositions we tried to reflect the uniqueness and expressive handwriting of the artist with the help of concise forms and bright immediate details that are naturally born on the canvas.
