Donzelli's ascent to prominence was swift and remarkable. In 1960, he clinched the prestigious San Fedele Prize in Milan, swiftly followed by the Termoli Prize. His accolades continued to mount as he secured the Ministry of Education Prize in 1962, solidifying his reputation as a prodigious talent.

The early 1960s witnessed a flurry of exhibitions and accolades for Donzelli, including a solo exhibition in Genoa in 1963 and invitations to renowned events such as the Spoleto Prize, the Marche Prize in Ancona, and the esteemed Michetti Prize. These accomplishments served as testament to his burgeoning stature within the Italian art scene.

As the years unfolded, Donzelli's artistic trajectory only ascended, marked by a succession of solo exhibitions across major Italian cities and esteemed art galleries.
