Branimir Misic is een hedendaagse bekroonde beeldhouwer uit Canada. Hij maakt al meer dan dertig jaar glas in lood en mixed media sculpturen. De combinatie van zijn achtergrond in techniek en kunst heeft geresulteerd in eigenzinnige maar blijvende ontwerpen van robotsculpturen.
De sculpturale zorg waarmee Misic zijn personages creëert, geeft hen, ondanks hun fysieke onbeweeglijkheid, een innemende persoonlijkheid. Geïnspireerd door films, graphic novels, boeken, mythologie, geschiedenis en videogames, combineren zijn sculpturen menselijke, dierlijke en mechanische kenmerken om elk stuk een unieke persoonlijkheid te geven. Vooral multimedia robot sculpturen zijn erg populair geworden bij de consument, vanwege hun unieke samensmelting van menselijke en dierlijke kenmerken.
Branimir Misic werd geboren in 1952 in Bosnië. Hij woont en werkt in Canada, waar hij zijn sculpturen heeft geëxposeerd en talloze prijzen heeft gewonnen.
