Blanka Mandel

In my artistic work I seek to capture the experiential space between imagination and reality, the fluid transition between the inner and outer world. On a formal level, this can be described as a journey between representational and abstract painting, in which I sometimes paint powerful explosions of color onto the canvas, and at other times develop crystalline, rugged landscapes or pastel places of longing. They are metaphors of existence that I present to people in my figurative style as a dreamlike, ephemeral phenomenon.

Biography

Dr. Blanka Mandel is a German visual artist living in Hockenheim. At the age of 6 she began drawing and painting. Studies, work and family made it necessary to interrupt my artistic activity. It was only in 2014 that she was able to revive her passion. Her works are created using various techniques using acrylic paint and oil paint on canvas or wood.

The paintings are regularly exhibited at international art fairs and in renowned galleries. Many are in private collections at home and abroad.

Some pictures were supplemented by their own poems, e.g. T. were published in the major libraries of the Western world.
