I’m an artist based in New Delhi, India. I completed my Masters in Fine Arts from JMI, Delhi in the year 2001.
My works have appeared in many group shows, 2 solo shows, among others, both in India and abroad.
As an artist, in most of my works, my exploration lies in the commingling of nature and human form, existing in perfect synchrony. It is also evocative in the way it captures the emotions, the thoughts, the experiences that arise in its coming together, in the fusion, or in the harmony, the way you want to perceive it. I do not consider nature and human beings as separate entities. Hence, I blend the two.
I place nature above human beings. It is mother nature that provides human beings with the essentials of life. Forests, rivers, oceans and soils provide us with the food we eat, the air we breathe, the water that quenches our thirst and irrigate our crops. No matter which part of the world we are in, these natural assets, the five elements of nature, are the silent givers of our health, happiness and prosperity. I believe, Nature unites us, we should be one with nature, then the whole world will be peaceful and safe.
My visual language is fluid, soothing with rhythmic strokes and soft hues that create a serene, calm, dreamy, surreal, harmonious visual spaces in my works.
Natural surroundings- forests, lakes, rivers and mountains inspire me. I find natural surroundings beautiful, mysterious, intriguing, tranquil and joyful- a plethora of nuances as the days and months pass.
