“On the main street of Uruk, Enkidu was attempting to fight. He stood on the Road in front of Gilgamesh” II. Tablet

The gods were angry with Gilgamesh and sent an enemy against him to the earth. endiku. Unlike Gilgamesh, he lived as a wild creature that lived with animals. Gilgamesh dreamed of him one day,and sent a scarlet woman to Enkidu. He persuaded her, and they set out for the city of Uruk. The moment has come, they wrestled. The opposing forces fought and defeated Gilgamesh Enkidu. The gods’ plans did not work, the two opposite heroes became friends. They were thrown into adventures as one….
........................

The work depicts the transcendent moment when opposing forces become one. The textures of the figures are processed with different techniques to accommodate their contrasts. While using textures filled with the Gilgamesh figure; Enkidu hollow tissue was used. The material used was also chosen differently in order to strengthen this discourse. They have wings to represent that they are divine. These wings are opposite to the texture of their own body but equal to the texture of the opposite character. This is a narrative that corresponds to the concept of Yinyang in eastern philosophy. The mirror metaphor was used for the positions of the figures.
This states that they are opposites but have equal strength.
Their hand in hand suggests that the opposition has become one.
