I drank red wine while painting this portrait. This portrait is a kind of imprint of my impression of a person under the influence of alcohol.
The portrait was painted in May last year. The first month of a slight lull, when military equipment leaves my area and the frequency of rocket attacks has slightly decreased. The tension in which we were 2 months led me to wine alcoholism. I tried to drink almost every day. Wine helped me get rid of spasms in my body and adapt to reality, or rather, to ease it for myself. It’s hard to explain, but I didn’t fully believe that we would survive, daily shelling, rocket launches, rockets flying into neighboring houses ... I probably would have gone crazy if it wasn’t for my dog, which I had to protect and calm down. Be strong for my fluffy baby and protect his. I have never experienced such a feeling of horror, ever. I have a well-developed intuition and I can be careful in some situations, but here a huge black hole formed in my stomach and it was as if it was forcing me out, devouring my body and mind from the inside. With every rocket near the house, a deafening sound and a trembling house, I ran with London into the corridor just to hide from the flashes of light into a dark corner in which we waited out the explosions. You may think that the portrait looks like a robot or a cyborg.
Yes, I believe that alcohol as a system kills the human in us, just like war. It can be said that a person becomes a soldier of the wrong calling.

My works are stories. About everything that surrounds us. About object and phenomenons, pain and joy, about new and complex, simple and beautiful, philosophy and routine, dreams and fantasies, a manifestation of humanity. On how unusual the world is through the eyes of each of us. And this is its uniqueness, inside of us.
Today I prefer abstraction and expression, this is my art therapy. I am often in a transcendental state. I draw out of the need to talk about my emotions, thoughts, and experiences, experimenting with shape and color, cultural values.
