The “Actress” has been exhibited in many galleries of the world, but during his career the painter has never wanted to sell the canvas, so the latter has never been estimated.

Many outstanding art critics have written about the high art value of “Actress” canvas, mentioning that “The painting is one of the best art samples of the Armenian art history, and has been included in the permanent exposition of the Contemporary art museum” (Henrik Igityan, art critic, member of the Painters Union of the USSR, director of the Contemporary art museum, 1979).
Awards and prizes
- The canvas “Actress” has been awarded with Armenian State Award in 1978 in the nomination of “Best art sample of the year”.- In 1983 in the Sofia international contest Karo Mkrtchyan was awarded with the “Best painter” award for “Actress” canvas.- In 1983 he was awarded with Armenian state award in the fields of literature, art and architecture.- In 1986 the painter was awarded with the first prize Sofia international contest.
