Ariane Crovisier is a contemporary award-winning French sculptor. She explores the void, the full, the third dimension, the relief which is experienced by the touch of the living surface of the earth, in movement towards a sensitive exchange. Her plastic research is impregnated with her interest in the emptiness and the fullness in the Chinese tradition.

In search of an aerial beauty, perpetual movement, Crovisier extends, digs, pierces, dances with the material, which she dresses with monochromes or with light and elegant associations of colors. Often she places an emotion in the piece to transform it, to stretch it. Thus the emotion changes, takes on other hues, other forms. This movement continues when she makes her sculptures transposable in different directions, visible from different angles, offering the possibility of interaction with the viewer, who can then manipulate it, turn it around, dance with new volumes.

Ariane Crovisier was born in 1983, in France.
