Antonio Gaudioso, born in 1980, is an artist who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo and Florence. His work is characterized by a minimal and composed visual formula that employs geometric shapes and flat colors. The artist considers three moments fundamental in his work: the internal logic of the composition, the relationship between the object and its environment, and the active contribution of the observer. The observer, through their personal interpretation, contributes to the construction of meaning, making the work a dynamic and open system.

Gaudioso's latest works are marked by small dimensions and minimal geometries. The compositional game and the relationships between the work and the exhibition environment highlight the predominant interest in the aesthetic qualities of the subject. The viewer doesn't limit themselves to enjoying the work with vision but participates in its enjoyment with their whole body. The personal history of the viewer, through their interests and personal taste, builds a private space of encounter with the work, which is characterized by the uniqueness of their point of view. This dialogue opens up conversations and discussions that are never determined or conclusive, even if private.

The artist pays great attention to the role that the title of a work plays in its interpretation. The title is not merely descriptive, but is an integral part of the composition, just like the other elements in the artwork. This gives the interpretation a greater sense of liveliness and tension.
