“Emanations” is a series of works that explores the essence of the human experience. The term "emanation" refers to the idea of something arising from a source, emanation or manifestation of it. Annemarieke van Peppen, born in Rotterdam in 1971, is a versatile artist who started her artistic development at the Academy for Art and Industry (AKI) in Enschede, where she studied fashion. After her time at the AKI, she traveled through Indonesia, Australia and Malaysia, where she gained inspiration for her work and began to develop her own artistic style.

Van Peppen's artistic practice encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including collages, installations, impact art projects, photography, sculptures and even clothing.
