Contrast (2023) Painting by Annemarie Laffont

Born in 1973 in the Netherlands, Annemarie Laffont was always drawing since she was a child. After her studies in architecture she went living in the South of France. In her beginnings the artist made architectural Chinese ink drawings, oilpaintings of animals, watercolor childrenportraits and even caricatures. Since she is specialized in painting animals in acrylics, always with a touch of humor. Her paintings often tell a story. Old windows and cupboarddoors have been given a new life and become part of the artwork. This makes the work more unique and authentic

Since 2013 she shows her paintings in exhibitions in the region where her style is easily recognized. But it is only since this year that she  works as a full-time artist to make her works known by a larger public.
