Angelina Pavlova was born in 1994 and grew up between Ukraine, Russia and France. She practices painting in the face of fast-life, embracing the slow temporality of the studio to try to untangle the fog of reality. Juggling between realistic details and chimerical settings, she questions our connection to life and the stories we tell ourselves to exist.
Before devoting herself fully to art, she studied law at university. During this period, it was through the use of notebooks that Angelina expressed herself. Travels in Europe and Africa will nourish his observational drawings, then some attempts in acrylic painting then in oil.
A master's degree in environmental law brought to Finland, where she discovered improvisation through dance in the ISLO movement school. Attending public dance classes more assiduously than law classes, Angelina began her first real series of drawings, "Intuitive Drawings" thanks to the inspiration that dance gives her.
What follows is an initiatory journey by bike at the end of which Angelina joins the Beaux-Arts of Biarritz, then the Beaux -Arts de Bordeaux where she obtained, in the midst of a health crisis, the state diploma with the congratulations of the jury.
Since then, the artist has found support in Périgord where she works in his workshop overlooking the countryside. The discovery of rural life coincides with the commitment to the life of an artist, the two aspects of his life nourish each other.
