Hades (altgriechisch Ἅιδης Hádēs, poetisch auch Ἁΐδης Haḯdēs, dorisch Ἀΐδας, Ἄϊς Aḯdas, Áïs, lange Namensform Ἀϊδονεύς Aïdoneús) bezeichnet in der griechischen Mythologie den Herrscher über die Unterwelt. Bereits zuvor wurde der Begriff aber für die Unterwelt als Ort verwendet. Das Reich (des Hades) existierte also vor dessen König. In nichtchristlichen kultischen Zusammenhängen bezeichnet das Wort aber stets die Gottheit, nicht die Unterwelt.
Als König über die Toten und die unterirdischen Gefilde wurde er früh sowohl mit Plutos (Πλοῦτος Ploútos), dem Gott der (unterirdischen) Reichtümer, als auch mit dem Unterweltsgott Pluton (Πλούτων Ploútōn) identifiziert.

hades ology the ruler of the underworld. The term had already been used previously to refer to the underworld as a place. The kingdom (of Hades) existed before its king. In non-Christian cultic contexts, however, the word always refers to the deity, not the underworld.
As king over the dead and the subterranean realms, he was early identified with both Plutos (Πλοῦτος Ploútos), the god of (subterranean) riches, and with the underworld god Pluton (Πλούτων Ploútōn).

Ceramics

Sculpture technique using as raw material a malleable Earth which can have different color then cooked to increase its solidity.

Enamel

Paint made with molten glass powder and oxide. The enamels are then applied by mixing them with distilled water. There is a form of vitrifiable enamel which consist of mixing the oxides with very little glass and oil until a paste is obtained. They are then applied as a painting.

Stone

Sculpture technique using a solid mineral substance.

Clay

Sculpture technique using as a raw material a malleable soil that can have different colors.

Outsider Art

Invented by Jean Dubuffet (1901-1985) in 1945, the idea is to create works with primitive graphics that take no academic reference into account. He will also advise to "draw like a child" and encourage self-taught artists.
