This work depicts one of the old streets of Porto, one of my favorite cities, where I moved almost a year ago.
Despite my fascination with the city, in emigration I faced many difficulties, including a feeling of isolation and loneliness. It seemed to create a vacuum around me, and even walking along the incredibly beautiful streets, I seemed to be looking at them through a film.

Against the backdrop of the situation in my homeland, the state of frustration and stress only intensified. As a result - an even greater sense of isolation and a sense of the nebula of the future.

I tried to convey my inner state in my work. After all, creativity is a documentation of all emotions and states, not only positive ones.

The work is done with oil pastels and pencils on tinted paper. Comes with a certificate of authenticity

Oil

Paint consisting of pigments bound with linseed oil or carnations. The traditional technique consists of superimposing layers of paint increasingly rich in oil for a solid and durable hanger.

Painting Pastel

Pastel is an instrument widely used in plastic arts. Taking the form of a colored plastic stick, it is composed of pigments, a filler (chalk or plaster) and a binder (gum arabic, oil, wax). We mainly distinguish fatty pastels (oil or wax), dry pastels, whether soft or hard. Invented in Europe at the end of the 15th century, this tool was very quickly used by great portrait painters of French royalty, such as Charles Le Brun, Rosalba Carriera, Jean Siméon Chardin or Maurice Quentin de La Tour, who will be considered the "Prince of pastellists", thanks to a method of fixation of which only he knew the secret.

Pastel

Drawing made with a colored stick. It consists of pigments, a charge and a binder. A distinction is made between dry pastels (soft or hard) and fatty pastels (oil or wax).

Привет, меня зовут Анастасия Потелова и я художник-путешественник. Я родом из небольшого городка на северо-западе России - Вологды. Сейчас живу и творю в Португалии, Порту.
Мой творческий путь, долгий и извилистый, не ограничивается только рисованием. Я очень люблю что-то делать своими руками - лепить, шить, мастерить.
Я черпаю вдохновение из окружающего меня мира. Это могут быть самые простые вещи. Иногда, чтобы зажечь искру вдохновения, достаточно увидеть просто цветок на пустыре или красиво сложенные коробки на помойке. И, конечно же, природа во всех ее проявлениях меня очень заряжает, поэтому я так люблю путешествовать и с удовольствием меняю место жительства.
Моя любовь к путешествиям отражена в моем творчестве. Я предпочитаю материалы, которые удобно брать с собой в дорогу: акварель, масляная пастель, карандаши, уголь. Моя техника живая и быстрая, этюдная, без большого количества деталей.
Я закончила Ярославское художественное училище, где получила академическое образование. По сей день я придерживаюсь реалистического стиля в своих работах. Но при этом я не творю в одном направлении. Я очень люблю и пейзажи, и зарисовки людей, и натюрморты и т.д.
Творчество для меня — широкое понятие, означающее, прежде всего, созидание.
Творить — это прекрасно. А если что-то создавать, то нужно делиться этим с миром, не ограничиваясь городом, в котором живешь. Ведь мы живем в прекрасное время, когда границы, особенно географические, стираются. Я счастлив, что мне есть чем поделиться.
