Alexandr Lugovoy, artist photographer, writes stories based on reality, thus offering the possibility of discovering his vision of reality. He has been practicing analog photography in different forms for 15 years. Each shot goes through a rigorous critical selection. He learned analog processes from artistic photographers in St. Petersburg. We can discover his photographs taken all over the world, because he travels a lot with his cameras. A permanent exhibition of black and white photographs is installed in Oviedo (Spain). He also teaches manual development techniques in the laboratory.
Most of his work is devoted to illogical forms, based on an intuitive perception of beauty. Thus, his accumulated experience with the camera allows him to think about the symbolism of the image rather than the shooting technique. All his works are dedicated to symbolism. Sensitivity fills the frame, not the other way around.
