In a period of global upheaval, the artist considers escapism (English escape - “to run away, look for a way out”) as a natural need of the human mind. When there is no solution, we often try to "escape" from the hustle and bustle, to retire with nature. And, watching the sky, its majestic beauty, we are looking inside for the answers we need.
And, although all the landscapes of the series are fictional, they were inspired by the cold northern beauty of the Karelian Isthmus. The artist invites the viewer to take a meditative journey with her to the shores of Terra Incognita.

Алена Ковалли - профессиональная художница и преподаватель современной живописи из России (Санкт-Петербург). Сейчас живет и работает в Фетхие (Турция). Выпускница Академии имени А.Л. Штиглица (Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design). Отличительная черта ее живописного стиля - атмосферные динамические абстракции.
Страсть к необычным текстурам и использование смешанной техники живописи различными медиумами (акрил, масло, текстурная паста, поталь) позволила художнице разработать свою уникальную технику. В ее основе лежит процесс абстрактной живописи, где композиция картины создается за счет игры контрастов разнообразных текстур.
При помощи нестандартных художественных приемов художница создает объемные сложные текстуры и контрастную глубину в каждой из своих работ.
Помимо работы над новыми картинами на продажу, Алена пишет картины на заказ для частных и корпоративных клиентов. Работы находятся в частных коллекциях в России и за границей - во Франции, Финляндии, Италии, etc.
