Alain Wankwini was born in 1993 in Bamenda, the North-West Region of Cameroon. He's an art lover  and started drawing since childhood.  After obtaining his A level certificate in the Cameroon College of Art Science and Technology (CCAST) in Bambili, he decided to pursue his studies in art  at the University of Yaoundé I, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in plastic and history of arts in 2018. He participated in his first first art exhibition during the JOURNÉES ARTISTIQUES ET CULTURELLES (JAC) organized by the ASSOCIATION DE PROMOTION ARTISTIQUE ET CULTURELLE (APAC) in Ngoumou. Collective exhibition also followed organized in the famous QUARTIER MOZART.  Alain currently lives and do most of his art in Yaoundé on which he depends on.


Alain Wankwini is an illustrator, photographer of daily life scenes, collection of images from magazines,  internet, are sources of inspiration for his works. He organises, restructures, and reinterprets the images according to his own vision. He finds visual solutions to expresse his sensitivity on themes such as peace, work, hunger, play, urban and rural scenes, streetlife, cultural activities etc. Children are mostly the centre of his characters representation due to the love and freedom, naivety on life they mostly Expressed .


Apart from being a digital artist, Alain draws on paper, using pencils, watercolors, colour pencils, ink and felt-tip pens. The bright light and the details of the forms , bring out the precise and realistic nature of his work. All these as well give the precise aspect that is both expressive and impressive.
