I was inspired to create this series by my son Ivan, he is twelve years old, he is a creative and brave person. We enjoy drawing together. I have a professional academic education and teach it at an art college, but I don’t teach my son academicism, because Ivan looks at the world directly and I want to extend this, I would like him to intuitively love everything beautiful.

However, as Tikhonova's artistic vision evolved, she found herself increasingly constrained by the limitations of traditional techniques. In a bold move towards artistic liberation, she embraced acrylic and the expressive freedom of abstract expressionism, marking a profound shift in her style.
Inspired by the pioneering works of artists such as Matisse, Cezanne, and Picasso, Tikhonova's art reflects a dynamic synthesis of influences, characterized by vibrant colors, bold forms, and provocative themes. She actively collaborates with individuals outside the realm of professional art education, resulting in colorful and daring works of art that push the boundaries of convention.
A member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, Tikhonova also shares her passion for art through teaching, imparting her knowledge of academic drawing and painting at the Russian State College of Arts and Industry, affiliated with the University named after S. G. Stroganov.
Tikhonova's artistic endeavors have been recognized both nationally and internationally, with her work featured in collective exhibitions across Russia. In 2006, she was awarded the Badge of Distinction from the Golden Press Fund, further cementing her status as a respected figure in the Russian art scene. Her paintings and prints adorn the walls of private collections and commercial galleries.
