Souvenir of great event shared all together.
Built from drawer of a cabinet, my family is made with wood and driftwood.
Nathalie Watine, a sculptor from Normandy, is an artist with a dreamy soul and an overflowing imagination. As a child, she could already see characters in the floral motifs adorning the wallpaper that lined the family home.
Over the years, Nathalie Watine has explored the art of sculpture using a variety of materials, from fabric to clay, from stone to wood. It is wood that has become the central element of her artistic work. Each piece of wood, with its unique curves, becomes the starting point for a new work.
Her artistic universe, full of colours, is populated by benevolent characters with a communicative joie de vivre. These naïve, innocent creatures lend themselves readily to the artist's delicate staging, transporting us into a poetic world.
Nathalie Watine defines art as aesthetic expression capable of arousing emotions in the public. Her creativity, totally free, guides her hand to give birth to unique sculptures imbued with sensitivity.
