Bir Madun Gibi! (2023) Sculpture by Uğur Ömer Pekince

He was born in Ankara in 1993. He reflects his ideas on art production by evaluating self-referential and affective criticism of daily life. On the basis of the art narrative, the body transformed into material, the operational tool of the individual-expression, gains meaning as the manifestation of anthropomorphism. In a way, art revives the image of imagination as a reflection of impulse, as an identification of nature and everyday life. His intuitive behavior in terms of creation is nourished by the art history of which he is the recipient. The material in his works often bears traces of the quality and variability of his ideas. In his recent works, the construction of the forms spread over the space is built on storytelling.
