Red is a color of extremes. Since the prehistorical time red is associated with the color of blood spilt and fire flames – energy and primal life forces. Some times I feel hunger for a certain color and urge to make a painting using its different shades. That's how "Red Zeus" was created to become a quintessence of all the attributes of this powerful color.

Tasha Ozkul is a contemporary Turkish artist. The supernatural, mystical part of being as well as nature serve as excellent sources of inspiration for artists. Regularly producing art is how she interprets and shares her existential and spiritual experiences with the world while still leaving room for the viewer to add their own interpretation.

While acrylics and texture are her main artistic mediums, she enjoys experimenting with new materials. She used vibrant colors in her abstract acrylic paintings to celebrate life in all its complexities at the time. Tasha Ozkul prefers a monochromatic palette with metallic shine for her textured works so that nothing will detract from the viewer's ability to fully see the depth of the 3D structure.
