ABOUT VARANASI
Varanasi is the India of your imagination. This is one of the world's oldest continually inhabited cities, and one of the holiest in Hinduism. Pilgrims come to the Ganges here to wash away sins in the sacred waters, to cremate their loved ones, or simply to die here, hoping for liberation from the cycle of rebirth.
According to Hindu mythology, Varanasi was founded by Shiva.
The city has long been an educational and musical centre: many prominent Indian philosophers, poets, writers, and musicians live or have lived in the city, and it was the place where the Benares gharana form of Hindustani classical music was developed.
Varanasi Ghats one of the most impressive sights of ancient site and thriving cultures.

Sergei Reoutov est un artiste photographe britannique basé à Londres. Pendant les 30 dernières années, il a travaillé en tant que directeur artistique dans l'industrie des événements commerciaux.
Depuis son adolescence, la peinture d'art figuratif est sa passion. Sa première exposition personnelle a eu lieu lorsqu'il était étudiant à l'Académie d'architecture et de design d'intérieur. Ses premières œuvres d'art ont rapidement trouvé preneurs parmi des acheteurs privés.
Il y a vingt ans, Sergei a découvert un outil extraordinaire pour les artistes : l'appareil photo numérique. Depuis lors, il utilise du matériel photo professionnel pour ses projets de peinture d'art figuratif.
Sergei accorde une grande importance au choix de l'emplacement pour chacune de ses idées artistiques. Il voyage ainsi dans plus de 40 endroits reculés à travers le monde, de Micronésie à l'Amazonie.
Les œuvres de Sergei ont été publiées dans des magazines prestigieux tels que National Geographic, Lonely Planet, et d'autres publications artistiques et de voyage populaires à travers le monde. Ses œuvres font également partie de collections privées en France, au Royaume-Uni, en Italie et aux États-Unis.
