The artistic work belongs to the Torso series, made of steel and painted yellow.
The sculpture is based on an abstraction of the torso, human chest, emphasizing the volume between the arms and the abdomen. It works around a geometric reduction of the human breast, through linear shapes, which is developed from a central element on which the rest of the work gravitates.
The simplicity in terms of form and line of this series aims to bring us closer to the essence of what is perceived and, to some extent, pay homage to classical, Greek and Roman sculpture, which we find in the human body as its source of inspiration.
The sculpture is made of cut and welded sheet steel in order to obtain volumes that appear impossible with any other type of work on steel. The intense yellow finish gives this sculpture a marked contemporary character, allowing it to take center stage and presence in any part of the house and be an artistic and decorative element of the highest level.
La obra artística pertenece a la serie Torso, realizada en acero y pintada en amarillo.
La escultura se basa en una abstracción del torso, pecho humano, haciendo hincapié en el volumen comprendido entre los brazos y el abdomen. Se trabaja en torno a una reducción geométrica del pecho humano, a través de formas lineales, que se desarrollan a partir de un elemento central sobre el que gravita el resto de la obra.
La sencillez en cuanto a forma y línea de esta serie pretende acercarnos a la esencia de lo percibido y, en alguna medida homenajear la escultura clásica, griega y romana, que encontraba en el cuerpo humano su fuente de inspiración.
La escultura está realizada en chapa de acero cortada y soldada con el fin de obtenerte volúmenes que con otro tipo de trabajo sobre acero serían imposibles. La finalización de un amarillo intenso dota a esta escultura de un marcado carácter contemporáneo, permitiendo que cobre protagonismo y presencia en cualquier lugar de la casa y sea un elemento artístico y decorativo del máximo nivel.

The goal of his work is to condense and summarize, through abstraction, the human subconscious. He takes as an essential example the interaction between the artist and his work. The sculptures arouse a singular attraction as well as a self-presence that is almost magnetic.
Roberto Canduela has done more than 60 exhibitions all over the world and won several prizes. Some of his sculptures are part of private collections; some have been used as Public Work in Spain for different companies and organizations.
