Pia Chang, born in 1970 in Daegu, South Korea, has cultivated her artistic journey across continents, currently residing and working in France since 2005. For Chang, art serves as a profound form of expression and liberation, a pathway to transcend boundaries and communicate her innermost thoughts and emotions.
Driven by her passion for art, Chang pursued formal education in the field, graduating from the University of Fine Arts in South Korea in 1995. There, she immersed herself in the rich cultural tapestry of her homeland, honing her skills and exploring various artistic techniques and mediums.
Seeking to further expand her horizons, Chang embarked on a new chapter of her artistic odyssey in France. In 2008, she completed her studies in visual communication design at the prestigious ECV (Ecole de Communication Visuelle) in Paris. This marked a pivotal moment in her career, as she delved into the realms of visual communication, merging her artistic sensibilities with contemporary design principles.
Throughout her journey, Chang's work reflects a profound synthesis of cultural influences, blending the traditional with the contemporary, the East with the West. Her artistry transcends borders, speaking to universal themes of identity, expression, and human experience.
