Paweł Kwiatkowski is a contemporary award-winning Polish painter and printmaker. Kwiatkowski’s minimalist compositions are made using oil on canvas and lithography and engraving on paper. His graphic creativity centers around the subjects of human issues in a global context and the way humans function in their natural environments. According to the artist, there is no completed storyline and no narratives in his art. Seemingly neutral, single, and figurative elements of the composition build inner tension.
Paweł Kwiatkowski was born in 1981, in Poland. He has exhibited nationally, and internationally, in Lithuania, Serbia, Brazil, Canada, Russia, China, Croatia, and Greece. The artist won numerous awards for his works: Bucharest International Print Biennale Grand Prix, Bucharest, Romania 2017; 2nd Graphic Art Biennial of Szeklerland, Zereda Art Camp Prize, Sfantu Gheorghe, Romania 2015; 2nd International Printmaking Triennial in Belgrade, Award of the Centre for Graphic Arts and Visual Researches, Belgrade, Serbia 2012; Grand Prix for the best thesis of the Polish art academies, Grand prix Żyrardów, Poland 2010; Strzeminski’s Fine Arts contest, Grand prix, Łódź, Poland.
