Rédiger un propos introductif constitue une véritable épreuve pour qui préfère se dissimuler derrière ses objets… qui paradoxalement l’exposent au moins autant que des mots.
L’objet inspirant est une illusion. Il disparaît du regard au bénéfice d’une représentation que notre imagination superpose - le voyage imaginaire peut alors commencer, prenant source dans les couches profondes de nos existences - chacun visionnera sa propre histoire.
L’objet est une synthèse, silencieuse. Les contours de la matière, sa texture, ses couleurs, le contexte de sa présentation résument une image, un sentiment, une idée venue d’ailleurs, cristallisée et ancrée quelque part dans un coin du cerveau.
Quand la vision devient obsessionnelle, l’outil et l’atelier permettent de l’extraire et de la mettre en forme. Il ne s’agit pas vraiment d’un choix, c’est une nécessité et un soulagement.
Sa fabrication est aussi excitante qu’exigeante - faite de moments de calme, de solitude, d’anxiété, de doute, de désarroi ou de plaisir voir de grâce selon l’instant et l’issue.Vient ensuite le temps de la prise de distance, indispensable au jugement et à la mise au point : Faut-il modifier quelque chose ? Abandonner le projet ou se réjouir humblement d’avoir fait un petit pas en avant. Cette étape peut durer des mois.
Tous ces objets tracent le sillon d’une tentative obstinée d’existence, sans autre but précis que le plaisir pris en chemin.
