Charlotte Tuquoi est née à Paris dans un milieu artistique. Après des études d'histoire/histoire de l'art à la Sorbonne, elle travaille à La Gazette de l'Hôtel Drouot comme secrétaire de rédaction-journaliste. Passionnée de peinture depuis toujours sans jamais avoir osé sauter le pas. Arrivée dans le Sud-Ouest à Pau elle intègre un petit atelier où elle expérimente toutes les techniques. A Bayonne où elle vit désormais, elle s'inscrit à l'école d'art où elle pratique assidument les ateliers de dessins, modèles vivants, techniques de peinture à l'huile. Depuis 2013 et la création de Pastels et Velours, elle peint uniquement au pastel sec, essentiellement des animaux, domestiques, de travail, de rente, de production... après avoir commencé par peindre des grenouilles. Les enfants à la plage l'inspire aussi beaucoup.

Charlotte Tuquoi was born in Paris into an artistic milieu. After studying history and art history at the Sorbonne, she worked at La Gazette de l'Hôtel Drouot as a sub-editor and journalist. She had always been passionate about painting without ever having dared to take the plunge. After arriving in the south-west of France (in Pau), she joined a small atelier where she experimented with various techniques. In Bayonne (where she now lives), she enrolled in an art school and attended drawing, life modelling and oil painting classes on a regular basis. Since 2013 and the creation of Pastels et Velours (“Pastels and Velvet”), she has only painted with dry pastel. After having started painting frogs, she moved on to pets, working animals and livestock. Children on the beach are also a great source of inspiration.
