Hello, my name is Olya Volina, I am an artist from St. Petersburg.
Since childhood, I have been interested in painting and ceramics and I can’t even say which direction fascinates me more! My childhood home is in a land of rich blue clay, so my creative journey began with clay. Then I started drawing and with inspiration I plunged into the world of abstraction and interior paintings.

I work with different materials and have an endless love for different textures, so they are often intertwined in my works. When creating paintings, I use the mixed media technique using various texture pastes, inks, acrylics and various mediums, powders, pigments and even epoxy resin to diversify the work with different textures and color variations. And in ceramic sculptures, I love the living texture of clay and ancient recipes for processing ceramics, usually without the use of glaze, so that you can feel the warmth of real ceramics and the extraordinary wisdom and energy of its ancient origins.
