Тему древнего еврейского кладбища продолжает и следующий, седьмой сюжет, названный нами «Певчие у могилы». В его основу легли картины Х. Сутина «Хорист» (1927-1928 гг.) и «Девочка в голубом» (1938-1939 гг.). Молодые люди с почтением остановились у надгробия отца художника – Соломона Сутина, благодаря его за рождение своего создателя.
Остальные надгробия еще не выглядят покосившимися, хотя очевидно, что, как они сами, так и кладбище в целом требуют дополнительного ухода. Надгробные плиты заметно покрыты слоем мха, некоторые же и вовсе разрушились от старости. В это время жизнь за оградой кладбища идет своим чередом – сменяются поры года, деревья уже скидывают листву, готовясь к зимовке.
The theme of the ancient Jewish cemetery continues with the next, seventh story, which we called "The Singers at the Grave". It is based on the paintings of H. Sutin's "Chorister" (1927-1928) and "The Girl in Blue" (1938-1939). Young people respectfully stopped at the tombstone of the artist's father, Solomon Sutin, thanking him for the birth of his creator.
The rest of the tombstones do not look crooked yet, although it is obvious that both they themselves and the cemetery as a whole require additional care. Tombstones are noticeably covered with a layer of moss, while some have completely collapsed from old age. At this time, life behind the fence of the cemetery goes on as usual – the seasons change, the trees are already throwing off their leaves, preparing for winter.
