I'm Oksana Baranova a mixed media artist living and working in Dnepr, Ukraine. In 2004, I received the status of candidate of geological sciences and later developed the “Art in stone” technique, which allows the creation of multidimensional compositions using the classical technique of oil painting and natural stones. In 2018, I presented my series at the personal exhibition "UKRAINIAN GEMS", which received a big response from viewers and buyers. I follow an experimental approach in painting that combines realistic and abstract elements, and various materials. This will allow the creation of multi-layered and multi-valued works, where each element plays its role and gives space for reflection. The source of inspiration is the world around me, my field of interest includes beautiful landscapes, textures of plants, and wildlife. Nature can be a source of wealth and diversity. All of this becomes the foundation for the ideas and themes that I explore in the art. The audience will easily find something that will inspire them and cause an internal dialogue. I believe that art has a unifying role, and through paintings, I can tell the world about the culture of Ukraine.
