Fragonard's work "The swing" has become a symbol of the Rococo period. Although it may seem like a woman swinging on a swing at first glance, it is actually a work about forbidden love. While the woman's husband swinging her, the woman throws her slipper at her young lover, who is hiding in the bushes.
While interpreting this work in a modern style, I tried to create significant differences in terms of design. Notice the woman's slippers. In Fragonard's work, slippers are located very close to the toes.
In my interpretation, slippers fly very high.
My works are not replicas. They are completely different contemporary and modern personal interpretations.
The artwork consists of three parts. (Triplex) Dimensions: 180x60, 180x160. 180x60 cm Total= 180x280 cm
