In the painting, “Yes, why not?” Nikita Karata, we see a person who refuses the rigor of forms, brings the artistic space around him into a dynamic Pure emotion. This dynamic, non–static characteristic of the primary broth, is achieved due to unstable smear, discontinuity of lines, holographic iridescence of the image, but, if we bring it to a single denominator, due, of course, to the desire not for “prettiness”, but for essence. Yes, in this sense, the images may seem creepy, ridiculous, even squalid to the average viewer. But in this possible squalor, it seems to me, lies the humanistic mission of N. Karat's work – this, of course, including a conversation on the topic of otherness, xenophobia, and rejection (taking place at once on two levels: formally, the avant–garde by the layman and meaningfully– the human being by the human being).

Nikita Karat, a young artist with in-demand talent, was born in Irkutsk, a city surrounded by the rich history and beauty of the Baikal nature. In his biography Nikita reflected the path to self-expression and the discovery of his unique style in contemporary art.
From early childhood Nikita was surrounded by a creative atmosphere: his parents were art lovers, which inspired the boy to experiment with colors and shapes. As he grew older, his talent only strengthened, and when it was time to choose a profession, Nikita did not hesitate and entered the Moscow Art School, where he began to study all aspects of art and better understand its importance in modern society.
Moving to Moscow brought Nikita new impressions and discoveries. He realized that the world of modern art can be much wider and more diverse than he had previously thought. Traveling to other countries became his source of inspiration, where he got acquainted with the works of famous contemporary artists and found his place in this beautiful but difficult field.
Nikita Karat found his creative embodiment in the contemporary genre, which for him became a real discovery and a way to express his vision of modern reality. His paintings are striking in their depth and symbolism, each work is a kind of reflection of his thoughts and experiences.
His works have been exhibited at many important art events and galleries not only in Russia but also abroad. He arouses interest with his bold use of various shapes and materials, playing with color and texture.
