À l'époque, ma compréhension des perspectives lointaines et des motifs captivants m'a guidé vers ce choix artistique. J'ai opté pour la technique de la tempera, utilisant des teintes brunes et claires pour obtenir l'effet désiré. Cette œuvre était avant tout pour moi, conçue pour apaiser et m'inspirer du bien-être lorsque je la contemple.
Il m'a fallu deux mois avant de commencer à peindre. L'essentiel était de transmettre un rayonnement à travers le visage. Je suis conscient que mon travail ne rivalise pas avec la magnificence des icônes, qui représentent un art ancestral d'une richesse exceptionnelle. Cette expérience m'a permis de maîtriser la tempera et de donner vie à ce visage à travers mon interprétation personnelle.
Certains verront le visage avec une intensité et une profondeur qui leur parleront directement, tandis que d'autres pourront ne pas percevoir immédiatement la même résonance. C'est la beauté de l'art : chaque spectateur apporte son propre bagage émotionnel et spirituel à l'expérience de l'œuvre.
Pour moi, l'essentiel était de canaliser cette énergie et cette lumière à travers le processus de création, afin de créer quelque chose qui puisse résonner avec les autres et éventuellement leur procurer une certaine paix intérieure ou un moment de contemplation.
Cette exploration artistique m'a permis d'approfondir ma compréhension de la tempera et de donner vie à cette représentation faciale qui, je l'espère, transcende simplement la technique pour atteindre une dimension plus universelle et intemporelle.
