Cette œuvre est née de mon intense fascination pour les icônes russes et l'art du Moyen Âge. Avant de commencer, j'ai passé des heures à étudier et à m'imprégner de leur lumière et de leur symbolisme. Mon objectif était de capturer une partie du visage et du corps dans toute l'étendue du châssis, cherchant à créer une présence qui semble presque parler depuis la toile.

À l'époque, ma compréhension des perspectives lointaines et des motifs captivants m'a guidé vers ce choix artistique. J'ai opté pour la technique de la tempera, utilisant des teintes brunes et claires pour obtenir l'effet désiré. Cette œuvre était avant tout pour moi, conçue pour apaiser et m'inspirer du bien-être lorsque je la contemple.

Il m'a fallu deux mois avant de commencer à peindre. L'essentiel était de transmettre un rayonnement à travers le visage.
