Le bas du haut (2023) Collages by Maya Del Villar

Self-taught painter, my main means of expression is oil painting. Rather figurative, I express myself through the power of color, which illustrates my South American imagination. My approach is based on two axes, one focused on narration, telling a story, a destiny. The other is nourished by everything that hurts me, revolts me in our lives. I am also an illustrator and author of children's books, not yet published. My latest research takes the form of collage with randomly diluted Indian ink. But I also work on the abstract with compositions based on photos of the cosmos. What fascinated me was this fusion of colors in movement. Until today I have only done a few exhibitions, my rather wild nature does not push me towards this exercise. Over time and by showing people around my workshop, I built up a small group of loyal collectors
