A once bronzed statue of a deity is placed on a white stool. It may have been beautiful at one point, shining in bronze. But today, only hints of the attraction remain as the artist has created it with a rustic tone giving prominence to the shade of turquoise. A piece to add to the collection!

Mahesh Ekanayake is a contemporary Sri Lankan sculptor. Mahesh's journey in the world of art began to flourish when he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in sculpture from the University of Visual and Performing Arts in Sri Lanka in 2017.

Eager to further refine his artistic skills and deepen his understanding of the craft, Mahesh is currently undertaking a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program at Lucknow University in India. This pursuit reflects his unwavering commitment to continuous growth and mastery within his chosen field.
