My artwork version of the famous French Laetitia Casta portrait. Born in 1978 in Pont-Audemer (Normandy), Laetitia Casta is a well-known supermodel and actress. Fame beckoned at the age of 15 when she was discovered by an agent. Thereafter, she was awarded prestigious modelling contracts. By the mid-1990s she was appointed as the Guess? girl and also lauded as the hottest model of the year by Rolling Stone magazine. She has graced over 100 covers of popular magazines and completed modelling assignments for famous designers. She received the greatest honour in 1999, when she was specially selected by French Mayors to appear on French coins and stamps for over a period of 10 years, as the image of Marianne who is the embodiment of the French Republic.
