Passionate about drawing since his early childhood, it was his visual arts teacher Mikel Chaussepied who encouraged him to persevere. The latter suggested that he apply to the Ecole des Beaux-arts in Brest but family pressure put an end to this hope.
In the years that followed Loïc tried his hand at Indian ink, pastel and watercolor. Then in the 2000s, he learned about oil painting with Michel Moulimois and Johannes Wahono. He then produced his first paintings.
Today he devotes himself full time to his passion. Born in Brittany, his region is his source of inspiration. He paints his silent contemplations, his iodized hikes, his invigorating swims and his recreational fishing.
"The sea is GLAZ". This Breton qualifier, untranslatable into French, evokes the palette of blue, green and gray of the sea. This color varies according to the nuances of the sky and the whims of the wind. The last brushstroke is the magic wand of the sun.
The observer is in the landscape, invisible and totally present.
Its very first exhibition should be held in Finistère, in July 2025.
