Lisa Zecchinato

Lisa Zecchinato, an artist who works in many different fields, was born in Lima, Peru. Since 2012, Lisa focuses on portraits. Her first paintings were oil on canvas and showed large expressionist faces. She showed these works for the first and only time in Belgrade, Serbia. After she almost died in an accident, she started to experiment with different kinds of art, like photography, textile art, fashion design, and digital art. Some of her most recent works are self-portraits that she changed in Photoshop to make fun of the hard times after her accident.

Lisa also focuses on illustrations with a lot of nakedness to show how vulnerable and raw the problems she sees in society are. She uses nudity to show a strong comeback and emphasize one's true self, even though society is "anti-" (for example, "anti-black," "anti-gay," and "anti-nudity") on the subject. Her accident is another great subject for her drawings. She plays with faces that aren't right, like the one she used to have, and draws them as angels. This shows that beauty doesn't have to be perfect or symmetrical; it comes from the inside out.
