Ice 66e4 is an abstraction of ice in a glass of water. The main image (Ice 66) has several versions each limited to 3 prints for each version. The attempt of the Ice series is to show the ice formations as some version of ice on a much larger scale occurring in a macro scale in nature - a glacier in the Arctic perhaps, or in some of the series, as ice on a river or lake. The set of Ice 66 versions all attempt to show ice as occurring in the North Atlantic, with both a whale and a shark circling below the ice. in version 66e4, I have increased the contrast markedly and tinted much. of the work in pale yellows and rose, while making the darker blues into blacks, to give a starker and more ominous feel to the work. These animals are in search of prey, and may have found it as there are traces of blood in the water.

Please note - due to Covid-19 limitations still affecting me, delivery will take about 3-4 weeks depending on destination country

Ken Lerner is a passionate photographic artist, born into a family of renowned photographers in 1947. He began taking photos at the age of 6, using a camera given to him by his father. But he was not interested in simply reproducing real life moments. His vision was more subjective and he sought to project an internal reality of that moment.

At the beginning of his career, he almost exclusively created images with multiple exposures. This gave a complex structure to the images and represented a subjective view of the world. In the 2010s, after working in financial product sales, he returned to photography producing only single exposure images. Even though they were less structurally complex, they still represented a subjective view of the world, being almost totally abstract. Ken works extensively with reflective surfaces such as water, glass and metal.

A lover of the beauty of nature, Ken Lerner paints and photographs a lot of landscapes and seascapes. He is interested in presenting different possibilities of representing "nature" and often produces many variations of an image with different colors, shades, contrasts and saturations.
