The painting shows a castle. This castle seems to be in the clouds, it seems even unreal. For the picture, the prototype of the famous castle in Germany, which is known as the Swan Castle, was used.
At first it was just an idea to paint an image of a castle, then it became a real mystical fantasy.
There is an ancient legend about the mystical Fata Morgana. This is a magical vision in the clouds, a mirage that can suddenly appear in the desert or on the plain. And this mirage can recreate magic castles, mysterious ships, and magical cities in the sky.
