The artist wants to say with his sarcasm that money has become more important to us than anything else and that, unfortunately, true happiness lies in money and gold and in all material things.
Thick layers of gold color were applied to the canvas with a palette knife, with relief strokes of gold color clearly visible. And this gives this work the power of artistic expression, in combination of text, color black and gold, and relief structure.

Jovan Srijemac (1962) is a professional artist based in the Netherlands who has exhibited his paintings both nationally and internationally. As a professional artist since the 1980s, his artistic expression has taken various forms over the years. He describes his style as an unconscious, often chaotic and explosive application of paint to the canvas, hidden in unplanned figures, objects and abstract compositions. Jovan's vibrant compositions are often created with a palette knife, but his Pop/Street Art style works also use spray paint, acrylic markers or pastels.
