Stéphane "Jeantou" is a self-taught French painter, his acrylic works are above all born of a passion, as a child, a group of doctors - psychologists told his parents about him '' You will do nothing about it... '' because, lunar, he has always loved working with wood and escaping into drawing, painting, cinema, series, legends and especially those of the 70's period, but also 50's, 60's, 80's. The idea of being able to pay homage in painting to all these stars of the Belle Epoque motivates him and crosses him since his earliest childhood, on pallet wood or on canvas, he paints action, virility or charm, sometimes all on one poster. He has a deep respect for the poster artists, these artists who made magnificent paintings that were used to illustrate films at the entrance to cinemas until the mid-80s. Inspired by this work, he produces, among other things, completely original painted cinema posters on canvas, most often in 120 x 160 format inspired by scenes, credits, actors' breaks rarely seen or invented, detailed, but above all scenes he would have always wanted to see on a poster at the risk of revealing certain secrets of the film, but aren't the treasures made to be discovered and appreciated in order to relive, in the blink of an eye, the very essence of a masterpiece seen and reviewed, from a classic, to display on a wall...
