My name is Jaz (Jazmin) Amigo or La Flor Artista. I am an Argentine visual artist currently living in Argentina.
I studied graphic design between 2010-2013 and 2016-2018, at the same time I trained as a professional oriental dance dancer. This is what opened my design doors, since I did a lot of work for the dance environment, where women are the protagonist.
When I moved to Europe in 2019, I began to connect more with the pencil and the paper than with the mouse and the screen. I wanted to continue creating images that have women as the center, dialoguing with nature and I got to work! My paintings portray the intrinsic relationship between the two of them.
My artistic world revolves around women and nature, I believe they are synonymous with making things grow. I play around the face and the female body and incorporate elements of nature to coexist with it. I show it in a dreamlike, peaceful, nostalgic, joyful way.
The medium I enjoy using the most is watercolor, due to its spontaneousness, unpredictability and emotionality. This watery pigment has infinite ways of expressing itself. I combine it with colored pencils, acrylics, also pressed flowers, however I am not closed to the idea of exploring other techniques.
