Jacques Vanroose is a contemporary Belgian sculptor. His preferred working media are bronze and ceramics. Most of Vanroose’s artwork is inspired by dance, more specifically ballet. The artist meticulously studies the human body in movement in order to create timeless sculptures. His sculptures are elegant and graceful, full of movement and emotion.
Jacques Vanroose was born in 1943 in Belgium, where he studied Plastic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges.
