Archetypal symbols occupy a prominent place in his works, as Ilya Kexholmsky strives to fill each work with layers of symbolic and intuitive meaning. His artistic process is characterized by a “stream-of-consciousness” approach that allows his inherent symbolism and emotions to flow onto the canvas, inviting viewers to interact with their own instincts and emotions.
