This is a South Asian traditional shepherd girl cheering her cattle and of course, herself too.
The Sun, paddy fields and cattle are highly regarded as sacred because they are the sources of life.
This beauty is covering her modesty with pieces of soft hand woven fabric. Decorated her naturally wavy hair with a small crown of flowers. She enjoys her own melodies with her little old wooden flute, sitting under a tree.
Spot deers are quite a magnificent sight. Some are quite friendly with villagers. Perhaps, this little guy has decided to sit and listen to the music for while.
Her little house is not faraway. Built with hand mixed clay walls with a roof of dried coconut leaves. Quite cooling under the soaring sun.
She must get back before night fall, with her cattle.
Finely detailed drawing done with loads of patience and love.
White, gold and copper ink on Olive green acrylic paper pad.
Ships in a flat box.

Hiranya is a classical figurative artist based in Brisbane, Australia.
She exclusively produces works derived from memories and experiences
through various reflexions of today’s social, cultural and economic ambience.
Bold colours and symbolism are a focus point.
She is currently working on two series, a Summer-floral themed series and another called 'Tea Room' which is a personal fascination.
Summer-floral theme is titled "FLORA'S SECRET" where the artist is breaking all the boundaries of colour and patterns with lots of details around the female identity.
"TEA ROOM" series on the other hand stays within stripe patterns on the subject's outfit, starting from simpler-minimal story to sophisticated tales with her personal favourites; colourful tea cups and tea pots, and all other details come with it.
Each work takes its own significant time to finish based on the amount of details going in.
The beauty of every aspect and little details of each work is extremely important to the artist.
Hence they are carefully realised.
