Hans van Meeuwen is a contemporary sculptor. Besides sculpture, he makes drawings, installation art and has done various public art projects. He graduated in 1983 from the Royal Academy of Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. Over the years, he has lived and worked in Germany, the USA, and recently moved to Ireland. Day-to-day life is often his inspiration. Observe the world, be curious! He loves to work in all those branches of art. Sculptures, drawings, public art are equally important to him. In all his work, he wishes to trigger the fantasy of the viewer. In the fantasy of the viewer is where the work comes alive. Hans is not dedicated to one material in his work. He loves to experiment with new materials and try out new ways of making an artwork. Hence, there is a large variety of materials involved in his work.

Biography
