TRIBAL TERRACOTTA, by artist Gustaf Tidholm.
Abstract minimalist presentation of different mixed materials and colors painted in pale terracotta.
The expression and surface of the artwork may change depending on the angle you look at it, as well as how the light falls on the painting.
The terracotta color has, a shade between orange and brown, and perfectly reflects this feeling. It is a warm, cozy and comfortsble color that helps to bring a warm feeling at its spot. It has a lot of the qualities of orange, enthusiasm, spontaneous, it gives energy and brings joy. A color for celebration. Terracotta has a more comforting feeling than orange because of its mix with the brown.
With this art my intention is to show a warm and safe feeling. The surface with its marks are inspired to reflect the deepest sence of abstract decoration that is allways found in almost all early civilizations and sociaties with various expressions around the world.
When you look at this, think about the verry deepest sence of your own soul. What is the most importand in your life, what is your basic need to feel free, strive back to your verry own roots and honor in your personality. That is to have when you might think you lost yourself in lige at certain levels. Stay calm and dont forget who you really are. The real you is the most beautiful.
