She is a firm believer of painting outdoors from nature, en plein air, in natural, wild, quiet places, this is where she finds her inspiration. She spends many months making numerous studies in one place, then develops them into a large abstract work. Colour and shapes are what inspire her together with design, texture and feeling of the place. It is usually something deep in the subconscious mind that is coming out to do with herself and her spiritual path.

She follows her intuition when choosing places to paint, usually a place she sees when out walking.  She paints around her home enjoying the countryside. She paints for the pure pleasure of being outdoors.
